Coire an t’Sneachta, 4 July 2026
It was a windy day when Catherine, Helen and Michael arrived in the Coire Cas car park and met prospective members Marion, Tony and Pete. We were going to do a circuit of Cairn Gorm but the visibility was poor, so we decided to walk into Coire an t-Sneachda instead.
It was a good path for most of the way although a wee bit of easy bouldering was required to reach our lunch spot by the lochans. There was very little water in them but still a few patches of snow on the steep slopes and impressive cliffs above.
The weather cleared and we had great views on the way back down then enjoyed a cuppa at the Cairngorm Mountain cafe. Although our plans had changed it had been an enjoyable day.
